You left and forgot to tell my heart how to live without you. ~author unknown

Friendship isn't about who you have known the longest, but about who came and never left your side~unknown
The last words of a very intelligent dog
Before I go, I just want to remind all you pups and kitties to always have plenty of love for your humans even if they might be grumpy. Sometimes they get caught up in all sorts of things and take us for granted. That doesn't mean they don't love and need us. Also you humans, remember why you have us around. If you are feeling stressed out, pet us. It's been proven to lower your blood pressure. Also keep lots of treats handy. And for everyone, enjoy life. Always take time for walks, frisbee and CAR RIDES.
And one last thing for you humans. If you are considering adding another dog to your home, think about giving one of older dogs a chance. We don't chew up your shoes, pee inside (well, not unless we really can't help it) or need lots of training. Plus you will have a very loyal friend for the rest of our lives. ~Domi, the therapy dog, 1996-2009

Even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from the master's table." - Matt 15:27
I have a firm belief that each and every dog has been placed on earth as a gift from Heaven. Sadly, not all dogs have the opportunity to be as treasured as they deserve. The breadth of what dogs can do, and have done, for mankind is astounding - breathtaking. We owe them great debt and we owe God our resounding - THANK YOU! M.Sullivan

You've got it, buddy!

This is very true. Thanks for posting.
Seeing the title of this post reminded me first not of our furry friends who serve but of the multitudes of veterans surviving wounds, limb loss and brain injury who would have died in previous wars. Let's just stop killing and maiming FOR LIFE servicemen and women as well as the dogs and horses who enable them to better serve and save lives. Thank you for this post in honor of my father, Robert D. Beach, veteran WWII.
Thinking of my American friends...as you all celebrate and honour your Veterans.

And some heroes are furry!
What a great picture! We mentioned in our blog that dogs are veterans, too! :) We sure are thankful for ALL veterans. Our Mom's grade level at her school is going to start collecting money for a service project that will benefit the dogs in military service. They are calling it "Coins for Canines" and they are trying to raise money for doggles and the booties. We were very proud of mom and her team teachers for coming up with this idea.
