A gift for all who l♥ved, and mourn, the Luke...

This morning I received an email from Ann of Zoolatry, who has much more talent with PhotoShop than most folks I know. Inside was a gift from her to all of us whose lives were touched by our gentle the Luke. This button is free for the taking and free for the using because, after all, the Luke gave all he had to the world freely and without reservation.

Of course, Ann's gift has me bawling again (I don't think all that salt is good for my recently operated on eye) but that is what us humans do when we mourn. Our furry companions do otherwise - they mourn a little, they move on and they celebrate life. I hope today all of us who mourn the Luke's completion of his Circle of Life do a little celebrating, too. I'm sure he would like that - very much.

P.S. when we tried to copy the button for our blog it said it was in a no-fetch zone. Perhaps you could post the code?

How very beautiful and thoughtful. We want to use his bottom forever on our blog. We will always remember him and love him. I can't seem to quit crying either. This has touched me in a way that I never thought possible. I haven't cried this much since I lost Alex. Lots of love to you and give your dear Scout and Freyja big hugs from us. Debbie and Holly

I know your heart is crying,,
i can feel it in MY heart.
Luke was so courageous. He was loved by so many, and now our paws are around his family.
That is a beautiful button, to help heal hearts, and reminders about brave Luke.

Thanks guys. So gracious of y'all and Ms. Ann to make such a fitting tribute button available to us all; it has made our tough dad misty eyed again. We've placed it on the top of our blog's right margin. We will celebrate The Luke's life in a short while; but now we need some time to mourn the loss of such an inspirational spirit as The Luke. Ms. Amanda gave Luke that rare second chance that senior shelter dogs seldom see. Many people think that it's too heart breaking to adopt a senior only to face grief like this in a relatively short period of time. But what about the alternative? Luke could have died alone and unloved at the end of a needle in a shelter but he was rescued and truly cared for and loved by Ms. Amanda these past 2 1/2 years. In our eyes the rescue saved both Luke and Ms. Amanda. Ms. Amanda will always have her Luke in her heart, as the button says; "Gone; Never Forgotten."

My mom's been crying an awful lot since word came of the Luke's journey to the rainbow bridge. We are proud and honored to use this lovely image to remember him always on our blog.

Big hugs to everyone who loved him, HoneyBuzz
