Make Sale of Crush Videos Illegal Again! Help us fight animal suffering and exploitation. Sign the petition now!
Goal: 30,000 • Progress: 6,285
Sponsored by: ASPCA
On April 20, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled in U.S. v. Stevens that the "Crush Act," a 1999 federal law banning the creation, sale and possession of materials depicting genuine acts of animal cruelty, is unconstitutional and over-broad in its scope.
H.R. 5092 will help ensure that the crush video industry is not revitalized in the absence of any enforceable federal law. Add your voice to the cause! Join the ASPCA in urging the U.S. House of Representatives to support legislation that amends the Crush Act. Go here and SIGN NOW!

Headed there now! Thanks for info.
We're definitely adding our voice to this one!
Thanks for the link. We will head over there now and sign. Mom said she has been in protests against Puppy Mills for the Humane Society but she had never even heard of Crush Videos. How evil can somebody be. Thanks..going now. Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
Did it. We did it in Blog Mom's name. I have my own peemail but am not registered to vote so we decided that I might not have the same impact. I'll ask Alpha Mom and Daddy and my human brother to do it too. Our congresshuman supports this bill, but we need to let him know that he has support in that.
wags, Lola
This makes me sick to my stomach. I had no idea there was such a thing as crush videos. I have no idea who in their right mind would derive pleasure from watching such horror.
We are on our way to sign something. Thats what mom said anyway

Well done for highlighting this. We've just been discussing over dinner what crush videos are and the constitutional and technical difficulties with banning them. I'm no prude but it's a shock to get into your 50's and discover that such depravity exists on this earth. It seems that President Clinton enacted specific legislation during his term in office to outlaw these things. Here in Europe its easier - they'd be banned - free speech being a different concept to perverted cruelty.
Moms and me are going to sign now
