A Sunday outing of the highest significance and protocol

On Sunday I discovered I was out of Coke. HORRORS!

In addition, I was out of cream for my tea! SHOCKING! So off to the Walmart we went, the dogs and I, to restock the house with desperately needed supplies.

We met a REALLY HAPPY man who thought that having his photo in our blog would be great fun! In fact, he was so friendly we learned that he had retired from the US Coast Guard in 1968. He also shared his name and age and told us that his wife thinks he is too friendly - uhm, wonder why

Back in the parking lot, Miss Freyja kept one ear to the wind on the lookout for intruders who would seek to enter her personal car-parking-space.

While Mr. Scout amused himself by telling jokes and laughing at them so hard he couldn't deliver the punch line - can you imagine that(What's that white thing in his nose? Was he laughing so hard he was blowing bubbles?)

On the way home I observed Scout and Freyja bowing their heads and praying in hushed tones for the grocery bags to be filled with copious amounts of their favorite treats. (They weren't disappointed)

Im the opposite of you - I HATE having soda in the house, because I will like I'll just keep drinking and drinking it then.

I love friendly people - and that man is really endearing! If he's reading these comments...Thank you, Mr Happy, for cheering us all up!

Also..the picture of your one-eared dog is priceless! What a disguise!

I've seen happy guys like that before. Walking along and talking to themselves. Then there are the mad ones, walking along and arguing with themselves. Better to be a happy one, I guess. Sounds like a pawsome outing in general.

I ♥ the one ear to the wind! Us shepherds is talented like that when it comes to protekshuns - that is why we has such big ears and can use one at a time.

It is always nice when you meet friendly people who are enjoying life and having fun. So many times you run into people who are just very nasty and rude, so it is nice to see there are still some nice people out there.

Do you save your Coke reward codes? If not, my rescue group saves them to cash in for items to use at our fundraisers and would love to have any codes you don't use. :)

Nothing like a road trip even if it's just for groceries. Your pictures are so cute! Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice compliment. I know I'm way behind in updating our layout. I keep saying "Next Week I'll do it" & just never get down to doing it. That "Snowflake Song" drives me nuts everytime I pull up Erins Page!

Dear Scout and Freyja
That did look like a silly happy man didn't he.
I can tell by the look on your faces!
He looks like a clown out of his clown clothes to me!
I hope your mama stocked up on her necessities so she does not go through any withdrawls!
Moms say caffene is a must and cream for the coffee is a must.
Oh yes, and hope she stocked up on your treats too! (sounds like she did)
